Man escapes from ICU in Madhya Pradesh hospital, claims he was falsely kept in coma for money

New Delhi: A shocking case has emerged from Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, where a man claimed he was held captive in the ICU of a private hospital while his wife was misled into believing he was in a coma and needed urgent funds for treatment.

According to reports, the man was admitted to Geeta Devi Hospital, where the staff allegedly told his wife that his condition was critical and demanded Rs 50,000 for treatment. Later, they claimed he had slipped into a coma and asked for an additional Rs 1 lakh.

However, when the wife returned with the money, she found her husband standing on the road. He had reportedly been tied up in the ICU but managed to escape. A viral video shows him partially clothed, with a pipe still in his nose, recounting the incident to passersby.

The video has sparked widespread outrage on social media, with many demanding a probe into the hospital’s actions.
