MP Sushil Rinku Stages Protest Against Manipur Violence Outside Parliament Premises
Jalandhar News: Member Parliament Sushil Kumar Rinku on Monday staged a protest against Manipur violence outside Parliament premises and expressed solidarity with MPs of opposition parties demanding Prime Minister’s intervention on this incident.
MPRinku said that as per reports so far over 150 persons have been targeted during these violence in Manipur but our worthy Prime Minister Narendra Modi has chosen to observe silence. He said that for the first time it has happened when action is being taken against those seeking answers from the Prime Minister over such a crucial and sensitive issue. He also added that MPs of opposition parties were being accused of derailing the monsoon session of the parliament while they were just seeking clarification from the PM on this issue of national importance in Parliament.
MP Rinku stated that the PM should willingly address the parliament on this issue clarifying what action being taken against culprits responsible for this violence in Manipur besides sharing his roadmap to curtain such incidents in future. He condemned action against Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha Member Sunjay Singh who was seeking PM’s intervention on this issue besides his address to Parliament.
The Member Parliament further stated that earlier during such incidents the then PMs including Lal Bahadur Shastri, Manmohan Singh, and others had offered their resignation to maintain the grace of the Prime Minister’s post while the current prime minister running away from his responsibility to address the Parliament on such a crucial and sensitive issue.
