Massive fire in Delhi’s Dwarka Mor destroys 30 huts, factories, and shops
New Delhi: A massive fire broke out in the Dwarka Mor area of Delhi, gutting at least 30 huts, two factories, and several shops.
Delhi Fire Services (DFS) officials said they received a call about the blaze at 2:07 am, following which 11 fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
The fire spread over an area of more than 1,200 square yards and was brought under control after nearly two hours.
An official confirmed that 30 huts, two temporary ice cream factories, car equipment, and grocery shops were destroyed. However, no injuries were reported.
According to local residents, around 150 huts in the area housed laborers working in different factories.
Many victims said they lost their homes, belongings, and important documents in the fire. “Now we don’t even have a house to sleep in, nothing left to eat,” one of them said.
