Massive fire in Delhi’s Rohini destroys over 800 slums, two children killed

New Delhi: A massive fire broke out on Sunday morning in a slum area near Sriniketan Apartments in Sector-17 of Rohini, Delhi. The incident claimed the lives of two children and left five others injured.

More than 800 slums were gutted in the blaze. Seventeen fire tenders were rushed to the spot immediately after the fire was reported. A Delhi Fire Service (DFS) official said that the fire was brought under control after three hours of firefighting efforts, although cooling operations were still underway at the site.
