Modi government gave Sikhs importance which they deserved since last 70 years: Manjinder Singh Sirsa
Punjab E News: BJP National Secretary Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa has said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi led government has given importance to Sikh community which it deserved since more than last 70 years of Independence and community members were thankful to PM for what he did for the community during last 9 and a half years.
Addressing impressive public gathering in Gwalior city of Madhya Pradesh after paying obeisance at history Gurdwara Daata Bandi Chor, Mr. Sirsa said that Sikh community was ignored by successive Congress government at the Centre but it is Prime Minister Mr. Modi who understood what community did for the country. He said that not only 350th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji was celebrated at large scale in the country but 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib ji was celebrated at same Red fort where orders were issued for his execution. He said that community members are also thankful to him for opening Kartarpur Sahib corridor.
He said that only it is only Modi government which has decided to observed December 26 as Veer Bal Diwas in memory of Chotte Sahibzade of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji in the country as well as abroad in India missions. He said that community member should remember to thank this government also support BJP which was working overtime to solve issues being faced by Sikh community and also serve nation and taking it to new heights.
BJP National Secretary also exhorted Sikhs to get united to get politically more powerful in the country. He said that Sikh Guru Sahiban have given concept of Miri and Piri to Sikhs only to make them politically more powerful. He said that now Sikh community should unite and support PM Modi for making country and community more powerful, wealthy and a super power.
Mr. Sirsa said that led by PM Modi NDA government has given importance to all four aspects of Sikh religion including Religion, history, culture, Punjabi language.
He also spoke about how guilty of 1984 Sikh genocide including Sajjan Kumar were sentenced to jail by reconstitution of SIT by Modi government which re-probed all those cases in which Congress governments of the day had given clean chit to the guilty.
Earlier he paid obeisance at historic Gurdwara Daata Bandi Chor in Gwalior.
He was also accompanied by Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) General Secretary Jagdip Singh Kahlon and member Gurdev Singh.
Others present on the occasion included Baba Hakam Singh, Dr. Bhalla besides others.
