‘Modi Meditation Cave’ in Kedarnath sees surge in bookings, full till July

Dehradun: The cave in Kedarnath where Prime Minister Narendra Modi meditated in 2019 has become a major spiritual attraction, drawing devotees from across India and abroad.
Now popularly known as the ‘Modi Meditation Cave’, the site is fully booked until July, reflecting its growing popularity.
The cave, carved out of the mountain at an altitude of 12,000 feet, is three metres long and three metres wide.
It gained prominence after a photograph of PM Modi meditating there for nearly 17 hours went viral in 2019. Since then, the cave has been dubbed a ‘VIP cave’ and is in high demand among spiritual seekers.
Tourists and devotees consider meditating in the cave a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
The influx of visitors has prompted the administration to consider building more caves in the area and enhancing existing facilities to accommodate the growing interest.
Officials said that plans are underway to improve infrastructure and provide better amenities to cater to the increasing number of pilgrims.
