Neeraj Chopra ties the knot with tennis player Himani Mor
New Delhi: Olympic champion javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has married Himani Mor, a tennis player and sports management student. Chopra shared pictures of the ceremony on Sunday but did not disclose the date or venue of the wedding.
Chopra’s relative, Bhim, confirmed that the couple married in India and has since left for their honeymoon. “The wedding took place two days ago,” Bhim told PTI from Chopra’s village in Khandra near Panipat.
Himani Mor, the daughter of Chand Ram, hails from Larsouri, Haryana. She holds a BA in Political Science and Physical Education from Miranda House, Delhi, and is currently pursuing an MSc in Sports Management and Administration at McCormack Isenberg School of Management in the US.
Mor has an impressive tennis background, with her best national rankings in 2018 reaching 42 in singles and 27 in doubles, according to the All India Tennis Association (AITA). She began competing in AITA events in 2018 and is also listed as an assistant coach for women’s tennis at Amherst College, Massachusetts.
Mor completed her schooling at Little Angels School in Sonipat, Haryana. Her brother, Himanshu, is also a tennis player.
