Neeraj Chopra wins gold medal at Paavo Nurmi Games

Turku (Finland): India’s Olympic and world champion javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra clinched his first gold medal at the Pavo Nurmi Games here today.

Chopra, who won a silver medal in the tournament in 2022, finished first with a throw of 85.97m in his third attempt today. Tony Keranen finished silver with a best throw of 84.19m while last season’s gold medallist Oliver Halander finished third with a throw of 83.96m.
