NEET Paper Leak Case: CBI files first charge sheet, names 13 people as accused

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed its first charge sheet in the case of alleged leak of the National Eligibility–Entrance Test-Graduate (NEET-UG) question paper, in which 13 people have been accused.

In the charge sheet filed before the special CBI court in Patna, the agency has invoked relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including criminal conspiracy, cheating, destruction of evidence etc, it said.

The central agency has named Nitish Kumar, Amit Anand, Sikander Yadavendu, Ashutosh Kumar-1, Roshan Kumar, Manish Prakash, Ashutosh Kumar-2, Akhilesh Kumar, Awadhesh Kumar, Anurag Yadav, Abhishek Kumar, Shivanandan Kumar and Ayush Raj.

The Bihar Police arrested these accused during the period from May 5, the date of examination to June 23 when the CBI took over the investigation in the case, officials said. The chargesheet details the alleged role of the 13 accused in the case.
