NIA conducts raids in Haryana and Punjab, detains communist leader Pankaj Tyagi

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids in Haryana and Punjab this morning as part of an ongoing investigation.

The agency targeted the residence of communist leader Pankaj Tyagi at Vardhman Gardenia Tower in Raipur, Sonipat. During the raid, the NIA detained Tyagi and seized several important documents and electronic devices from his home.

As he was taken into custody, Tyagi addressed the media, stating that the NIA had registered a case against him in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He claimed that the case was a result of him “speaking the truth” and called for a fair investigation into the matter.

In a related operation, the NIA also raided the house of Advocate Aarti in Chandigarh. Aarti informed the media that the NIA suspects her of having links with Maoists. The agency confiscated all electronic devices from her residence during the search.
