Nine COVID-19 cases reported in Haryana within 72 hours; health department on alert in affected districts

Chandigarh: Haryana has reported nine new cases of COVID-19 in the past 72 hours, with infections detected in Gurugram, Faridabad, Yamunanagar, and Karnal.
The patients include women, elderly individuals, youth, as well as professionals such as doctors, managers, and software developers.
According to health officials, none of the infected individuals have a recent international travel history. However, three patients had recently travelled from Mumbai, Delhi, and Punjab.
During the peak years of 2020-21, over 10 lakh COVID-19 cases were reported in Haryana, resulting in more than 10,000 deaths. While the virus was new then, vaccines and various variants have since emerged.
