Nirmal Singh Bhangoo owner of Pearls Group dies

Chandigarh: Nirmal Singh Bhangoo, chairman of The Pearl Group of Companies, passed away here late this evening.

He was the main accused in the Rs 45,000 crore scam of duping investors of Bhangu Company. He was arrested by the CBI in January 2016 and was lodged in Tihar Jail.

He was reportedly taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital in Delhi and his death was recorded at 7.50 pm.
