No need for shopkeepers to disclose identity during Kanwar Yatra: Supreme Court in interim order

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday stayed putting on hold guidelines issued by the Uttar Pradesh government that asked shopkeepers in some states along the Kanwar Yatra route.

The apex court has sought the government’s response and posted the matter for hearing on July 26. The Supreme Court says that food vendors should not be forced to give the names of owners, employees.
