Pahalgam Terror Attack: Two Terrorists Killed in Kulgam Encounter

Kashmir: The terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on Tuesday, which claimed the lives of 26 people including three officers, has sparked nationwide grief and anger. The brutal killing of tourists has shaken the entire country.

In the aftermath of the attack, two encounters have been reported in Kashmir. Security forces are currently engaged in a gunfight with terrorists in the Tangmarg area of Kulgam district. Officials said the area was cordoned off after intelligence inputs about the presence of militants. Detailed information about the ongoing operation is awaited.

Earlier, in a separate incident, the Army foiled an infiltration attempt near the Line of Control in Baramulla, killing two terrorists. A large cache of arms and ammunition, including two rifles, was recovered from them.

Officials said the terrorists in Kulgam are believed to be hiding and have been surrounded by security forces. Operations are underway to neutralize them.
