Pakistan troubled by Punjab Government’s campaign against drugs
Chandigarh: The grenade attack in Rasulpur, Jalandhar, has sparked a sharp reaction from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Party MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer said Pakistan is troubled by the Punjab government’s ‘War Against Drugs’ campaign. This is why it is trying to disrupt peace in Punjab.
Meet Hayer said the Punjab government’s campaign against drug traffickers, ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh,’ has broken the drug nexus in Punjab, causing trouble for Pakistan’s drug mafia. He said the situation today has reached the point where no one on this side even picks up drugs coming from across the border.
The AAP MP said this incident is not just about Punjab but a matter of national security. Punjab and Pakistan share a 500-kilometer border, but there is no system in place by central agencies to catch the drug supply. This is extremely unfortunate.
Meet Hayer questioned the BJP and said that recently, a video of Shehzad Bhatti and Lawrence Bishnoi talking went viral, and BJP has treated Bishnoi like a guest in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail. After this incident, will the central government interrogate Lawrence Bishnoi considering the country’s security?
*Shehzad Bhatti’s claim of responsibility for the grenade attack reveals Pakistan’s conspiracy, driven by its frustration over Punjab’s crackdown on drugs – Malvinder Singh Kang*
MP Malvinder Singh Kang said Pakistan is worried about why drugs menace is being eradicated in Punjab. A recent example is Shehzad Bhatti taking responsibility for the grenade attack. This reveals Pakistan’s conspiracy. He said that due to the Punjab government’s actions, the flow of drugs and illegal weapons from Pakistan has completely stopped, prompting them to carry out such incidents.
Kang criticized the BJP in this matter and said Shehzad Bhatti is the same person whose video with Lawrence Bishnoi went viral on social media recently. Therefore, BJP leaders must answer why their Gujarat government has treated Lawrence Bishnoi like a son-in-law in Sabarmati Jail.
Kang said BJP uses Lawrence Bishnoi for its politics and, in return, provides him government protection and hotel-like facilities in jail. He added that everyone knows the relationship between BJP and gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Kang questioned BJP and said the gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, whom they treated like a guest in Gujarat, is connected to people carrying out attacks in Punjab, attempting to disturb peace here. BJP leaders must answer this and clarify whether BJP is instigating such attacks in Punjab for its petty politics.
He said these incidents suggest BJP wants to tarnish the Aam Aadmi Party’s image by disrupting peace in Punjab. However, regardless of how hard the BJP or any other party tries, the Punjab government’s campaign against drugs and gangsters will not stop. Whether it is Pakistan or BJP, we will not let anyone succeed in their nefarious plans.
Kang said under the Punjab government’s ‘War Against Drugs’ campaign, they have resolved to eradicate drugs from the roots. This is a promise the Punjab government has made to the people of the state, and they will fulfill it.
