People should not marry off their daughters and sisters with drug addicts, labourers will prove to be better grooms than drug addicts: Union Minister

New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Kaushal Kishore has made a strong appeal to the people not to marry off their sisters and daughters with alcoholics and drug addicts.

“A rickshaw puller or labourer will prove to be a better groom than a drunken officer,” the union minister said while addressing a de-addiction programme at Sarvodaya Inter College in Lambhua assembly constituency of the district. The age of a drunkard is very short. Sharing his personal experience, he recalled his late son, who died suddenly due to drug abuse.
