‘People want governance, not drama from opposition,’ says PM Modi

New Delhi: The first parliamentary session of the 18th Lok Sabha began on Monday. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Bhartrihari Mahtab has been sworn in as the pro-tem Speaker of the Lok Sabha.

Pro-tem Speaker Bharthari Mahtab administered the oath of office to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a member of the House as leader of the Lok Sabha and an MP.

PM Modi has come to power for the third consecutive time after the recent Lok Sabha elections. Modi and his council of ministers were sworn in on June 9.

In his customary address at the beginning of the session, he said that BJP-led NDA will governance the country for the third time and it would take pro – people decisions to take the country forward.
