Plane carrying mortal remains of 45 Indians from Kuwait lands in Kochi
New Delhi: There was a deathly silence at Kochi Airport on Friday morning. As soon as the special Air Force aircraft carrying the bodies of 45 Indians landed from Kuwait, every eye became moist.
The relatives of the deceased had been present at the airport since morning. Ministers of the Kerala government, top officials, and a large number of police officers were also present at the airport. The mortal remains of 31 Indians were flown to Kochi in a C-130J transport aircraft of the Indian Air Force.
From there, the bodies were sent to their hometowns. Of the 31 deceased, 23 were from Kerala, seven from Tamil Nadu, and one from Karnataka. The aircraft carrying the bodies of the workers from North India who were killed in the incident will reach Delhi by evening.
