PM Modi inaugurates new campus of Nalanda University in Rajgir, Bihar

Rajgir, (Bihar): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated the new campus of Nalanda University in Rajgir, Bihar. The new campus of the university is close to the ancient Nalanda Mahavihara, a world heritage site.

After inaugurating the new campus of the university, the Prime Minister spoke on the occasion. Before inaugurating the new campus of Nalanda University, the Prime Minister visited Nalanda Mahavihar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Rajgir.

Nalanda University was founded in the 5th century and used to attract students from all over the world. According to experts, this ancient university flourished for 800 years before being destroyed by invaders in the 12th century.
