PM Modi to address nation amid India-Pakistan military tensions

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation on Monday at 8 pm, amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.

His address comes at a time when both countries have mutually agreed to cease all military operations across land, air, and sea. Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) level talks are also scheduled to take place this evening.

Tensions escalated following the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which prompted India to launch Operation Sindoor targeting terror bases in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and within Pakistan.

The Indian Army said nine terror camps were destroyed during the operation. The army further claimed that the attack had been taken over by the Pakistan Army, which allegedly attempted to target Indian civilians and military installations.
