Ponting rejects offer to become head coach of Indian cricket team

New Delhi: Australian batting great Ricky Ponting has revealed that he was approached to fill the vacant post of India’s head coach but turned down the offer as it doesn’t fit into his lifestyle.

Ponting, who recently completed seven seasons as the head coach of the Delhi Capitals IPL franchise, has previously served as Australia’s interim T20 coach. He did not say whether there was any suggestion from the BCCI for the post of Indian coach.
