Raghav Chadha gives suspension of business notice in Rajya Sabha demanding immediate closure of flights from China
New Delhi: The increasing cases of Covid-19 in China have increased India’s concern. Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also called a high-level meeting at 3.30 pm.
Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has demanded cancellation of flights to and from China in view of the threat of covid.
In this regard, he has also given a suspension notice in Parliament.
Chadha, in a notice to Parliament, said the Indian government ignored and downplayed the early signs of the pandemic and the devastating second wave at the beginning and end of 2020. Delays in managing international air connectivity and taking effective early measures caused the virus to spread uncontrollably across the country.
