Railway Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu expresses grief over the train accident in West Bengal, orders probe
New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu has expressed grief over the accident. An inquiry has also been ordered into the incident.
In a tweet, he wrote, “A tragic accident has occurred in the NFR zone. Swift rescue operations are underway with coordinated efforts from Railways, NDRF, and SDRF. The injured are being quickly moved to hospitals. Senior officials are on-site to supervise.”

Earlier, a goods train collided with the Kanchenjunga train from behind near Rangpaneer station in Darjeeling, West Bengal. In this incident, 7 people have died, while many people have been injured. Earlier, a similar train accident had occurred in Khanna, Punjab.
