Ram Rahim urges followers to serve and pray from home after parole release
New Delhi: Dera Sacha Sauda chief, Ram Rahim, was released on parole from prison on Wednesday. His first photo after the release has surfaced, showing him arriving at the Barnawa Dera in Uttar Pradesh.
The Dera management confirmed his arrival and shared an official post on social media platform X, featuring a picture of Ram Rahim in a white kurta.
In the post, the Dera management stated, “Respected father Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan has arrived at Barnawa (U.P.) Dera and has blessed the entire congregation, inquiring about their well-being. All followers are requested to stay at home and continue their service and prayers.”
However, the decision to grant Ram Rahim parole during the Haryana elections has sparked controversy. The Congress party claims that his release could influence voting and has written to the Election Commission in protest.
On the other hand, the BJP defended the decision, with Chief Minister Nayab Saini and State Party President Mohan Lal Badauli stating that the parole was granted as per legal provisions and accused Congress of unnecessarily politicizing the issue.
