RBI keeps repo rate unchanged at 6.5%
New Delhi: RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das on Thursday announced that there has been no change in policy rates. The bank’s key policy rate will remain at 6.50 percent. At the same time, he said that despite uncertainties at the global level, the growth rate of the Indian economy remains strong. It is clear that now there will be no change in EMI in any kind of loan.
RBI Governor Das said that in the three-day meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee, it has been unanimously decided to keep the policy rate at 6.5 percent.
He said that the country’s macroeconomic situation is strong, it is the engine of economic growth for the world. However, food inflation remains a matter of concern.
