Restless leg syndrome medication linked to uncontrollable sexual urges, patients claim

New Delhi: Patients who took medication for movement disorders, including restless leg syndrome (RLS), claim they were not warned about severe side effects affecting sexual behavior.

Some individuals reported experiencing intense sexual urges, gambling addiction, and other compulsive behaviors after using these drugs.

The medication, initially developed to alleviate discomfort in the legs, has been linked to significant changes in patients’ habits and attitudes.

Reports have also emerged of individuals engaging in inappropriate behavior, including a case where a man allegedly misbehaved with a child while intoxicated.

Concerns are growing over the unintended consequences of certain medications, with patients experiencing physical and mental health issues rather than relief. Many now argue that doctors failed to inform them about these risks, leaving them unprepared for the impact on their lives.
