Rohit Sharma’s century powers India to series win over England

New Delhi: Skipper Rohit Sharma smashed a 90-ball 119 as India secured a four-wicket victory over England in the second ODI, sealing the three-match series 2-0.

Chasing a 305-run target, India reached 308 in 44.3 overs, marking their seventh consecutive bilateral ODI series win against England.

Rohit, who struck 12 fours and seven sixes, registered his 49th international century, surpassing Rahul Dravid’s tally of 48. He shared a 136-run opening stand with Shubman Gill (60), while Shreyas Iyer (44) and Axar Patel (41*) contributed crucial runs.

Earlier, England posted 304 in 49.5 overs, led by Joe Root (69) and Ben Duckett (65). Ravindra Jadeja was India’s standout bowler, claiming 3 for 35.
