Sachin Pilot criticises Modi government over US-imposed taxes

New Delhi: Congress General Secretary Sachin Pilot launched a sharp attack on the central government over the imposition of new taxes by the United States, accusing it of being inactive and yielding to foreign pressure.

“The government is sleeping and under pressure from the US to sacrifice Indian interests,” Pilot alleged.

He further criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent US visit, saying, “Modi should have come up with a creative solution instead of just clicking pictures and exchanging gifts.”

Pilot said that while the world is responding to the retaliatory tax imposed by the US, the Indian government appears to be merely passing time and leaving everything to fate.
