SC grants Kejriwal interim bail in ED case, to remain in jail in CBI case
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday gave a big verdict on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s petition challenging his arrest in the money laundering case related to the Delhi liquor policy.
The court has granted interim bail to Kejriwal in the ED case. Kejriwal, however, will remain in jail as he was arrested by the CBI on June 26 in a corruption case related to the Delhi excise policy.
The apex court had on May 17 reserved its verdict on Kejriwal’s plea. On April 15, the court had sought the ED’s response on Kejriwal’s plea challenging his arrest in the case. Actually, Kejriwal challenged the decision of the Delhi High Court in the Supreme Court.
