SC quashes contempt proceedings against Yoga guru Ramdev and Patanjali Ayurved

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday closed contempt proceedings against yoga guru Ramdev, his associate Balkrishna and Patanjali Ayurved Ltd while accepting their apology in a case of misleading advertisements against them.

“The court has closed the contempt proceedings on the basis of the contract given by Ramdev, Balkrishna and Patanjali Ayurved Limited,” said advocate Gautam Talukdar, representing yoga guru Balkrishna and the firm.
