Second round of farmer-government talks to be held on February 22

Chandigarh: The second round of talks between the farmers and the central government will take place on February 22 at 6 pm at Magsipa, Sector 26, Chandigarh. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be present at the meeting.

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (non-political) has confirmed receiving an invitation from the government for the discussions.

The first round of talks was held on February 14 at the same venue but was attended by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi in Chouhan’s absence.

Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal was also present, and the discussions were described as positive by the farmers.
