Security beefed up for RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat amid fresh threat intelligence

New Delhi: The government has heightened security for Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat following new threat intelligence inputs from federal agencies. Bhagwat, who already has ‘Z-plus’ category security, is protected by the armed VIP security unit of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) nationwide.

Recent intelligence revealed inconsistencies in the implementation of the Advanced Security Liaison (ASL) process for Bhagwat. In response, authorities have made ASL a regular and mandatory procedure for his protection, according to official sources.
