SKM meeting in Ludhiana: Mahapanchayat to be held in Delhi on March 14

Chandigarh: A meeting of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) was held today under the leadership of farmer leader Balbir Singh Rajewal at Isdu Bhawan in Ludhiana, Punjab.

A total of about 25 Jathebandis participated in the meeting. During this, it was decided to hold a Mahapanchayat on March 14 at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. It was also decided that farmers will not go to Delhi by tractors but by bus-train and by their own means.

The farmers have been stopped by the Haryana Police at the Shambhu border for the last 17 days. Farmers and jawans are firing tear gas shells and stones at each other. Farmers have also held several meetings with the Center, but no solution has been found.
