Strong earthquake tremors shake Delhi, residents rush out in panic

New Delhi: An earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale jolted Delhi on Monday morning, causing strong tremors that lasted several seconds.

The epicenter is reported to be around Delhi, leading to intense shaking that prompted residents to rush out of their homes in panic.

Many reported hearing a loud cracking sound along with the tremors, heightening fear. Suman Sharma, a resident, described the experience, saying, “It felt like something was breaking under the ground. I grabbed my 5-year-old son and ran outside.”

Authorities are monitoring the situation, but no casualties or major damage have been reported so far.
