Supreme Court dismisses rumours on Justice Yashwant Sinha, says Justice Verma’s transfer fair

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has dismissed rumours regarding Justice Yashwant Sinha of the Delhi High Court, whose official residence was located after a fire incident.

The court also clarified that the transfer of Justice Verma to the Allahabad High Court was fair and unrelated to any ongoing official inquiry against him.

The apex court stated that after receiving the information, the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court conducted an internal inquiry to gather evidence.

The findings will be submitted to Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna by Delhi High Court Chief Justice D K Upadhyay ahead of the March 20 collegium meeting. The Supreme Court said further action will be taken after reviewing the report.
