Supreme Court to pronounce verdict on Arvind Kejriwal’s bail plea today
New Delhi: The Supreme Court will determine on Friday whether Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, currently detained in the Delhi liquor scam case, will be granted interim bail.
The Enforcement Directorate is opposing bail with specific arguments. An ED official said that granting interim bail to Kejriwal for campaigning in the polls would also assist pro-Khalistan ‘Waris Punjab De’ leader Amritpal Singh, incarcerated in Dibrugarh jail, in contesting from Khadoor Sahib.
Singh is also seeking interim bail for canvassing as he is set to contest as an Independent candidate in Khadoor Sahib.
