Swati Maliwal case: HC issues notice to Kejriwal’s personal secretary Vaibhav Kumar
New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has dismissed a plea filed by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s personal secretary Vaibhav Kumar challenging his arrest in a case related to the alleged assault on AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal at the chief minister’s residence. “The petition is dismissed,” Justice Neena Bansal Krishna said.
Kumar, who is currently in judicial custody, had allegedly attacked Maliwal at Kejriwal’s official residence on May 13.
Kumar was arrested on May 18. Kumar had sought that his arrest be declared illegal. The Delhi Police had claimed that Kumar was detained in accordance with the law and not in “haste”.
