Those found cheating in recruitment examinations to face life imprisonment, Rs 10 crore fine

New Delhi: Uttarakhand Governor Lt Gen (retd) Gurmeet Singh has approved an ordinance against the use of cheating and other unfair means in recruitment examinations in the state.

It has become a law after getting the approval of the Governor. From printing question papers in recruitment examinations to publishing results in Uttarakhand, if a person is found guilty of adopting wrong methods, he can now be punished with a maximum of life imprisonment and a fine of up to Rs 10 crore.
Their properties acquired from such actions will also be confiscated.
