Tihar jail official Ajit Kumar suspended in a case related to Delhi minister Satyendar Jain
New Delhi: Tihar Jail Superintendent Ajit Kumar have been suspended for giving VIP treatment to arrested Delhi Minister Satyendar Jain. The Prisons Department of the Delhi government said that prima facie it has been found that he has committed irregularities which need to be investigated. According to sources, prisoner Satyendar Jain has been found to be providing undue and illegal benefits.
BJP MP Parvesh Verma had last week demanded that Delhi minister Satyendar Jain be shifted from Tihar Jail, alleging that he was getting VIP treatment. Satyendar Jain has been in jail since his arrest in May on charges of money laundering.
