TVSN Prasad likely to be appointed Chief Information Commissioner in Haryana

Chandigarh: A high-level meeting was held on Monday under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini to discuss appointments in the State Information Commission.

The meeting focused on selecting candidates for the posts of Chief Information Commissioner and Information Commissioners.

According to sources, the name of former Chief Secretary TVSN Prasad has been approved for the post of Chief Information Commissioner.

An official announcement is expected soon, as Prasad had been actively lobbying for the position in recent weeks.

Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda attended the meeting as a representative of the opposition.

After the meeting, Hooda confirmed that six names, including that of the Chief Information Commissioner, have been finalised and will be forwarded to Governor Bandaru Dattatreya.

Later in the evening, TVSN Prasad was seen visiting the Governor, further indicating the likelihood of his appointment.
