Two more militants killed in Jammu encounter after attack on Army convoy
Jammu: Security forces shot dead two militants hiding in a forest area near a village in Akhnoor sector on Tuesday morning.
The number of militants killed in the 27-hour-long gunbattle along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir has gone up to three, officials said.
The army convoy — which was part of an ambulance of the security forces — was opened upon by militants around 6.30 am on Monday.
The other two militants were killed within two hours on Tuesday after joint teams of army and police carried out the final attack near Asan temple in Jogwan village of Batala-Khour area, the officials said. “The competition is over.
