Union Government convenes all-party meeting on July 21 ahead of the Budget Session
New Delhi: The central government has called an all-party meeting on July 21 ahead of the next monsoon session of Parliament. This information has been shared by sources with the agency.
This will be congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s first meeting as leader of opposition. Trinamool Congress sources said no representative of the party will attend the meeting as the party celebrates The Martyrs’ Day on July 21.
The Martyrs’ Day of July 21 is celebrated in memory of the 13 Congress supporters who were shot dead by the Kolkata Police in 1993 during a march towards the state secretariat Reuters Buildings.
There was a CPI(M)-led Left Front government at that time. The monsoon session of Parliament will begin on July 22 and conclude on August 12. The Budget will be presented by the Centre on July 23.
