Uttarakhand: 8 dead, 10 injured as tempo traveller falls into river on Badrinath highway

New Delhi: There has been a major road accident in Badrinath Highway in Rudraprayag and a tempo traveler fell into the river. There were about 23 passengers in the traveler. Teams of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and police are carrying out rescue operations.

Eight people have died in this accident. The injured have been taken to the hospital by the team by ambulance. Rescue work is in progress.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami posted on X and wrote, “Very painful news of the accident of Tempo Traveler in Rudraprayag district was received.

Local administration and SDRF teams are engaged in relief and rescue operations. The injured have been sent to a nearby medical center for treatment. The District Magistrate has been ordered to investigate the incident.
