Will stake claim for CM’s post if BJP returns to power in Haryana: Vij

New Delhi: Senior BJP leader and former Haryana minister Anil Vij today said he would stake claim to the chief minister’s post if the party returns to power after the October 5 Assembly polls in the state.

Before six-time MLA Vij’s claims, BJP have already announced that Naib Singh Saini will continue to be the chief minister if it returns to power.

He said, “I have never asked for anything from the party till date… People from Haryana are coming to meet me. Even in Ambala, people tell me that I am the senior-most, but I did not become the chief minister. On the basis of people’s demand and seniority, I will stake claim to be the chief minister this time.”

“Whether the party makes me the chief minister or not depends on it, but if it makes me the chief minister, I will change the fate and image of Haryana,” Vij, who is an MLA from Ambala Cantt,” said.
