Will take account of every atrocity committed against people of Delhi, says Sisodia after 17-month incarceration
New Delhi: Former Delhi Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was released from jail on Friday after 17 months. His release has rekindled a sense of energy within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which many believe was much needed.
After stepping out of jail, Sisodia visited Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence, where he met with his parents, wife, and children.
Expressing gratitude for his release, Sisodia credited the Constitution, remarking, “Thanks to the Constitution given by Babasaheb Ambedkar, we were blessed by God yesterday. Baba Saheb predicted 75 years ago that dictatorship would rise in this country. He wrote that the Constitution would be our savior.”
He also acknowledged the efforts of the Supreme Court and his legal team, saying, “The Supreme Court, using the Constitution, crushed dictatorship yesterday. I am also thankful to the lawyers, especially Abhishek Manu Singhvi, who fought tirelessly for justice. For me, Singhvi is a form of God.”
He said that he will take account of every atrocity committed against people of Delhi by the dictatorial BJP government.
