Youth with suspected links to Pakistani intelligence arrested in Haryana

Chandigarh: The Special Detective Unit in Haryana has arrested a 25-year-old man, Davinder Singh Dhillon, for allegedly having links with Pakistani intelligence agencies. Dhillon, a resident of Mastgarh village in Chika, had uploaded photos of weapons on Facebook, prompting authorities to launch an investigation.
He was arrested on May 13, with the initial case registered against him at Guhla police station on May 11. According to police officials, crucial information was obtained during a two-day remand following his arrest.
Upon learning of Dhillon’s alleged connection with Pakistani intelligence, a second case was registered against him at the cyber crime police station. Investigators have also flagged suspicious financial transactions between Dhillon and the intelligence agency.
Officials said that in November 2024, Dhillon had visited Nankana Sahib in Pakistan via the Kartarpur Corridor as part of a group, during which he allegedly came into contact with Pakistani intelligence operatives.
SP Astha Modi said Dhillon, who was arrested three days ago, has been found to have links with Pakistani intelligence. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to probe the matter further. Dhillon has now been taken on a three-day remand for additional questioning.
