Changes announced by the Centre The central government on Friday made a major reshuffle at the senior level in the bureaucracy. Keshav Kumar Pathak, a senior IAS officer of Bihar cadre, has been appointed as additional secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat. Pathak, a 1990-batch IAS officer, is currently the chairman of the Bihar Revenue Board.  “The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading the vacant post of Joint Secretary,” an order issued by the Personnel Ministry said. N. Shravana Kumar, a 2000-batch IAS officer from Pathak’s cadre, has been appointed as the vice-chairman of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). Senior bureaucrat Bhuvnesh Kumar has been nominated as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Kumar, a 1995-batch IAS officer of UP cadre, is additional secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Amitesh Kumar Sinha, a 1997 batch Indian Railway Service Officer (IRAS), has been appointed as Additional Secretary in place of Kumar. Senior IAS officer Abhishek Singh has been appointed as the Director General of the National Informatics Centre (NIC). Singh is a 1995-batch IAS officer of Nagaland cadre. He will also hold the additional charge of Additional Secretary MeiTY.
