As season ends, Punjab records lowest stubble burning cases in 1 1 years
Punjab E News: With the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann took various initiatives, Punjab has recorded lowest number of stubble burning cases in at least 11 years.
Although farmers were setting relentlessly setting their farm on fires, the figures are 30% less this season as compared to previous year.
According to the data, Punjab has recorded a total of 49,899 farm fire incidents till November 28, a 30% dip from last year’s count of 71,304 in 2021.
Pertinently, this figure is lower than the 79,093 events reported in 2020 for the season (September 15 to November 30). The state had recorded 50,738 burning cases in 2019 and 59,695 in 2018, official data revealed.
