He expressed admiration for Kejriwal’s thinking and stated that the people of Delhi would support him in the upcoming assembly elections based on his integrity.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann praised Kejriwal’s decision, calling it revolutionary and attributing it to his honesty and commitment to the people. He expressed admiration for Kejriwal’s thinking and stated that the people of Delhi would support him in the upcoming assembly elections based on his integrity.
Mann also noted that there have been attempts to undermine the Aam Aadmi Party by imprisoning Kejriwal, but these efforts have failed to break the party. He remarked that any other party might have succumbed under such pressure.
Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema stated that Arvind Kejriwal has made a very significant decision. He pointed out that the country is aware that the Bharatiya Janata Party had fabricated a case against Kejriwal. With his recent bail from the Supreme Court, it has become clear that the allegations against him were completely false.
Cheema expressed confidence that when Kejriwal steps out of his house, millions of people will come out in support of him, and the people of Delhi will elect him as Chief Minister again. He emphasized that Kejriwal values the people of Delhi more than the Chief Minister’s chair and deeply loves them.
Cheema also challenged the BJP to hold elections now, asserting that the truth will prevail. He predicted a decisive defeat for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the upcoming elections, with the Aam Aadmi Party securing a resounding victory.
Cabinet Minister Aman Arora stated that Arvind Kejriwal, who has pioneered a new and honest style of politics in the country, has once again demonstrated his integrity by resigning. He affirmed that the people of Delhi and the nation stand with Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party, and predicted that the Aam Aadmi Party will form the government in Delhi again with a large majority.
Minister Anmol Gagan Maan said that now it is up to the public to decide whether Arvind Kejriwal is a criminal or an honest leader. She highlighted that Kejriwal has transformed Delhi over the past ten years, increasing the budget from 30,000 crores to 75,000 crores. Kejriwal improved the education system, made water, electricity free and bus travel free for women, and curtailed corruption in government projects to provide better facilities to the people. His resignation, Maan stated, reflects his faith in the people of Delhi to elect him again.
Mann also noted that Kejriwal’s resignation sends a message to leaders from other parties who face false charges and imprisonment: they should not resign when they are in jail, or else the BJP will install its own Chief Minister.
MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer remarked, “It is very difficult for any leader to step down, even for a day. Only an honest person can take such a decision. No leader resigns after being released from jail when the Supreme Court has ruled in their favor. Arvind Kejriwal has taken a courageous step.”
MP Malvinder Singh Kang stated that the people of Delhi recognize Arvind Kejriwal as an honest leader dedicated to serving the public. Kejriwal will now visit every street in Delhi to present his case to the people, and with their support, he will again form the government with a substantial majority. He also criticized the BJP, saying its rule has surpassed British colonialism in terms of oppression, and noted that despite Kejriwal’s attempt to address the public through a letter, the BJP prevented it from reaching them.
