Bhagwant Mann should consider Congress leader Navjot Sidhu’s release: Raja Warring

Chandigarh: Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today urged Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to consider the early release of Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is serving a sentence in Patiala Central Jail in a 1988 road rage case.

The appeal came a day after the Punjab Cabinet approved a proposal to grant special remission to five convicts serving jail terms. Sidhu’s name does not figure in the list.
